CRM & ERP Systems Built Around How Your Qatar Business Runs
Sales pipelines, inventory, field operations, procurement and finance in one system. We build custom where a package would force your team to change how they work, and implement Odoo or ERPNext where that genuinely fits better. QAR reporting, WPS payroll files, gratuity and Dhareeba-ready output included either way.
Should you buy Odoo, or build something custom?
Buy a package if your processes are fairly standard and you are willing to adapt to how the software thinks. Build custom if your competitive advantage lives in a workflow no package handles, or if per-seat licensing will punish you as you grow. Most Qatari businesses we speak to land somewhere between the two.
Here is the part most vendors leave out. On a typical ERP project the licence fee is only 15% to 30% of what you actually spend. The remaining 70% to 85% goes on implementation, customisation, data migration, training and support. So a cheap licence with an expensive implementation can easily cost more than a custom build that fits properly from the start.
The per-seat maths matters too. Odoo Enterprise runs around 25 US dollars per user per month and scales with the modules you enable. At 15 users that is manageable. At 60 users across several modules it becomes a permanent line item that grows every time you hire. ERPNext removes the per-seat fee entirely but needs a capable partner to implement, which is why we often recommend it for growing teams.
We are not a reseller, so we have no incentive to push you toward one answer. We implement Odoo and ERPNext, and we build custom systems, and the recommendation depends on your process rather than our margin.
Package, Open Source or Custom Build
The honest trade-offs across the three routes Qatari businesses actually choose between.
| Consideration | Licensed Package | Open Source | Custom Build |
|---|---|---|---|
| Examples | Dynamics 365, SAP, NetSuite, Odoo Enterprise | ERPNext, Odoo Community | Built for your process |
| Licence cost | Per user, per month, forever | None, you pay hosting | None, you own it |
| Cost as you hire | Rises with every new seat | Flat | Flat |
| Process fit | Your team adapts to the software | Configurable, within limits | Matches your workflow exactly |
| Time to launch | Fastest for standard needs | Moderate | Longest, but no workarounds |
| Best when | Standard processes, small stable team | Growing headcount, standard-ish needs | Unusual workflow, packages already failed |

Modules We Build and Implement
Take the ones you need. Most businesses start with two or three and expand once the team has settled in.
Sales CRM & Pipeline
Lead capture from WhatsApp and your website, deal stages that match how your team actually sells, quotations, follow-up reminders and forecasting. Field reps get offline access that syncs when they are back on signal.
Finance & Accounting
Chart of accounts, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation and multi-currency handling with QAR as base. Structured so General Tax Authority reporting comes out clean rather than rebuilt in Excel each period.
Inventory & Warehousing
Stock across multiple locations, barcode scanning, batch and serial tracking, reorder points and stock valuation. Built for traders and distributors who need to know what is actually on the shelf right now.
Procurement & Suppliers
Requests for quotation, supplier comparison, purchase orders and three-way matching between order, delivery note and invoice. Approval chains that reflect who genuinely signs off, not a generic hierarchy.
HR & Payroll
Employee records, leave and attendance, Wage Protection System file generation, and end-of-service gratuity calculated to Qatari labour law. Handles the residency and document expiry tracking that catches HR teams out.
Projects & Field Operations
Job costing, work orders, technician scheduling, site photos and timesheets from mobile. Built for contractors and service companies whose real work happens away from a desk.
Qatar Compliance, Handled Properly
The local requirements that generic systems treat as an afterthought, and that regulators do not.
WPS Payroll & Gratuity
Wage Protection System files generated in the format your bank accepts, with end-of-service gratuity calculated against Qatari labour law rather than a formula someone typed into a spreadsheet in 2019.
Dhareeba & E-Invoicing Readiness
Output formatted for the General Tax Authority's Dhareeba portal. Qatar's e-invoicing draft law was approved at Cabinet level in May 2026, so we structure the invoicing layer now to absorb that requirement when the executive regulations land.
Arabic Interface and Documents
Genuine right-to-left layouts across the interface, plus Arabic quotations, invoices and reports. Government procurement in Qatar requires Arabic documentation, and businesses operating through the QFC generally expect bilingual as standard.
PDPPL and Data Residency
Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law, Law No. 13 of 2016, requires access controls, audit logs and defined data subject rights. We build those in, and where procurement demands data residency we deploy self-hosted so nothing leaves infrastructure you control.
Why ERP projects fail in the GCC
Rarely because the software was wrong. Almost always for one of these four reasons, and each one is avoidable.
Configuration starts before anyone understands the workflow
The vendor is keen to show progress, so they start configuring in week one. Three months later the system does not match how the warehouse actually operates, and the rework costs more than the discovery would have. We spend the first phase watching people work before touching anything.
Data migration is treated as an afterthought
Duplicate customers, half-filled product records, inconsistent tax fields and eight years of spreadsheet habits. Migration is consistently the most underestimated line in an ERP budget. We audit your existing data during scoping so the number in the quote is real.
Tax and payroll configuration is misaligned
Systems configured for another market and adjusted afterwards create reporting gaps that only surface at filing time. WPS formats, gratuity rules and GTA reporting are set up correctly at the start, not patched later.
Nobody budgeted for behaviour change
Teams do not resist ERP because they dislike software. They resist because a system exposes habits and removes shortcuts people relied on. Training hours get budgeted; adoption rarely does. We involve the people who will use it daily from the discovery phase, which is unglamorous and works.

Engagement Options
Scoped against your real processes and quoted as a fixed price in writing, with milestone-based payment.
| Engagement | What It Covers | Timeline | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discovery & Selection | We map your processes, audit your existing data, and give you a written recommendation on whether to configure a package, implement open source, or build custom. Yours to act on with any partner. | 2 to 3 weeks | Get Quote |
| Focused Module Build | One or two modules live properly rather than everything half-finished. Typically CRM and quotations, or inventory and procurement, with data migration and team training included. | 6 to 10 weeks | Get Quote |
| Full System | Finance, inventory, procurement, HR and CRM connected, with Arabic interface, WPS and gratuity, GTA-ready reporting and role-based permissions. Delivered module by module so value lands early. | 4 to 8 months | Get Quote |
| Rescue & Migration | A stalled implementation restarted, or a move off a system that no longer fits. Includes a data audit and an honest assessment of what can be salvaged. | Scoped per case | Get Quote |

Tell us how your business currently runs and you will have a fixed written quote within 48 hours. If configuring Odoo or ERPNext would serve you better than a custom build, that is what we will quote.
How Implementation Runs
Five phases, with payment tied to delivered milestones rather than an advance up front.
Discovery
We watch the work happen and document the process as it really runs, including the workarounds nobody mentions in meetings.
Data Audit
Your existing records assessed for duplicates and gaps before quoting, so migration cost is known rather than discovered.
Build
Module by module, each reviewed with the team who will use it before we move to the next one.
Parallel Run
The new system runs alongside the old one for a full cycle, so nothing critical depends on it until the numbers reconcile.
Go Live
Cutover, on-site support during the first close, full documentation and training for your team.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Qatari businesses ask before committing to a CRM or ERP project.
It depends far more on scope than on which software you pick. The cost drivers are how many modules you need, how many users, how much customisation your processes demand, and the state of the data being migrated. Worth knowing: the licence fee is usually only 15% to 30% of total spend, so comparing vendors on licence price alone is misleading. We quote a fixed price after discovery.
ERPNext if headcount is growing, because it is fully open source with no per-user licence and every module included. Odoo if you need its stronger manufacturing and inventory depth and your user count will stay stable, keeping in mind that many features sit behind the Enterprise paywall. Both need a competent implementation partner; neither is a weekend setup.
Yes. Wage Protection System files are produced in the format your bank accepts, and end-of-service gratuity is calculated according to Qatari labour law with the service periods and exceptions handled correctly. We also track residency permit and document expiry, which is where HR teams most often get caught out.
We build the invoicing layer so e-invoicing can be added without restructuring. Qatar's Cabinet approved the draft e-invoicing law in May 2026, but the General Tax Authority has not yet published the technical format, platform or timeline. Anyone claiming full e-invoicing compliance today is ahead of the regulations. What we can do is make sure adopting it later is a configuration change rather than a rebuild.
Six to ten weeks for one or two modules, four to eight months for a full system. The variable that moves the timeline most is data quality. A company with clean records in a single system migrates quickly; one with eight years of spreadsheets across five departments takes considerably longer, and we would rather tell you that at quoting stage.
We audit it before quoting, then clean and migrate it as a defined phase rather than a rushed final step. Duplicates get merged, incomplete records get flagged for your team to fill, and historical transactions are brought across where they are useful. The old system stays available read-only until you are confident.
Yes. We deploy self-hosted through Docker and Coolify, which matters if your procurement process or government contracts require data residency in Qatar. Cloud hosting in a region you nominate is also available if you would rather not manage infrastructure.
That depends on whether they were involved before launch. Resistance is rarely about the software; it is about a system exposing habits and removing shortcuts people relied on. We bring daily users into discovery, run the new system in parallel with the old one so nobody is thrown in cold, and train in Arabic or English as the team prefers.
Often yes. We audit what was built, what the original requirements were, and where the two diverged. Sometimes the configuration is sound and the project simply lost its partner. Sometimes the foundation is wrong and continuing costs more than restarting. You get a straight answer either way, including when that answer is not the one you were hoping for.
Not for custom builds. You own the system, so adding your fiftieth user costs nothing extra. If we implement a licensed product on your behalf, that vendor's per-seat fee applies and we will show you the five-year cost of that before you commit rather than after.
